Details

Recirculation pump making noise. Contacted local dealer, Leisure Works in Ann Arbor Michigan and was told gee sorry your 3 months out of warranty.

Was quoted $289 for the pump plus $160 for service call and labor. Contacted Master Spas directly, apparently they don't hire the brightest to work in customer service. Told rep that pump shouldn't have failed because hours are low (we empty the tub in summer months). Rep says sorry, nothing we can do, your outside the terms of "the contract".

Told rep it's common in service industry for manufactures to stand behind their product even when slightly out of warranty.

Again, was told nothing can be done will forward your info. to local dealer.

Master Spas builds some of the most energy efficient hot tubs on the market. However, once the cover is off any hot tub in a cold climate, the temperature of the spa is likely to drop. From what we can tell, the hot tub is operating properly but we will look forward to discussing this with you directly.

We live in Michigan.

Our hot tub was delivered in August, 2015.

Since winter has arrived, this hot tub does not retain its' desired temperature.

We set the temperature to 103 degrees.

Within the first few minutes of using the hot tub, the temperature drops to 102 degrees, and it does not recover.

And, if you want to enjoy the hot tub for longer than 30 minutes?

Well, "most people don't do that" and "you must have a dirty filter" are the comments we received from the Master Spas dealer, somehow trying to justify the failure of the HL8 to retain its' desired temperature.

And of course, the California energy standards are also to blame.

Everything and everyone is to blame, except for the manufacturer.

Good thing we purchased an extended warranty ... I guess.

This was all done in 1 day. The temp went from 64* to 99* in the matter of minutes.

The color of the light is like the "NORTHERN LIGHTS". The Jets are just like "BROADWAY JOE" tossing the "DUKE". The direction changer is like "GOING DOWN A WRONG WAY STREET TO AVOID THE COPS". The control panel is like "NASA" "CONTROL", We have a SPLASH DOWN!!!

Any one from "BC" who would like the opportunity to have a SPLASH DOWN, PLEASE contact Master SPAS for the BEST OPPORTUNITY IN SPA PLEASURE. Now for the punch line "THIS SPA IS BETTER THAN LAKE CHARLEVOIX" BEST, Greg Odette

I have only had my Master Spa for a year and have had nothing but problems with it. The heater has failed twice and I have had to replace the main pump.

The worst thing is that when I drained it to replace the pump I noticed that the acrylic in the bottom of the spa has a blister and crack in it. I have contacted Master Spas and the dealer I bought it from Leisure Works and they will not do anything about it.

I spent over $10,000.00 of this pile of junk and have nothing good to say about either company. I just want this thing gone and I will never by a Master Spas again.
