TS 8.2 spa overheats with temp set at 82.
Thanks for the question and I'll start off with some clarification.During the warmer months of the year, or if you live in a hot climate, it can be common for the water temperature in your hot tub to be higher than what you actually have the temperature set at.
This is caused by a number of things including the heat generated by the pumps of the hot tub while in operation, the outside temperature, the intensity of the sun heating up the cover and cabinet of your hot tub, and the actual insulation and design of your hot tub being to retain heat and not lose it.
That being said, remember there is no "air conditioner" for your hot tub to magically drop the water temperature. Instead there are a few simple steps you can take to get the water cooler. First, you may need to drain some of the water in your hot tub. This will allow you to then add cooler water from your garden hose.
You may also add a few bags of ice to the water for a potentially faster way to cool the hot tub. You can also leave the cover partially open for a few hours during the night once the sun has set and temperatures have dropped. This allows the hot air to escape.
Some other tips include setting your filtration for lower time cycles. Again, the longer the pump(s) are running, the more heat they generate.
Finally, depending on your installation, some people will shade their hot tub using an outdoor patio umbrella.Hope these tips help and if you need anything else please let us know at customer email@example.com.
