Replacement for the X310320 topside control panel

Since the topside control panel X310320 has been discontinued, and mine isn't working, what do I replace it with? I've looked a bit online, and can't find an answer.

X310320 was used in many Twilight Series Master Spas in 2022 and 2023. You can replace this currently with X310342 which is a Trapezoid shape or X310341 which is a Watch/diamond shape. There is a sticker overlay that can be found with part X509138 (watch) or X509124 (trapezoid). You can always call the factory at 1-800-860-7727 with your spa serial number to ask about the most current part numbers.

Hello there - The filters that were used in that model have been updated by the company that made them "Pleatco" - you will now need the X268532 ( Eco Pur Mineral Filter) and the X268546 (PMA - R1) the standpipe that the original filters may have used to go down the center of the old filters will screw out and this filter (the two parts lock together to form one) will screw into place. You can gather pricing to purchase filters from any local dealer or you can source it from dealer websites like www.masterspaparts.com. If you have any further questions or this does not sound like what you have reach out to 1-800-860-7727 or email support@masterspas.com

Yes - it should be possible. We would need to know the year of make of the LSX 700 - if you can grab the spa serial number and email support@masterspas.com that would ensure we give the most accurate directions possible.

I have Twilight 6

I have Twilight 6.2 and this morning the control panel won't respond to any action. It was replaced 2 years under warranty but now there is no warranty left.

I need to find the part number (I think it might be X310220 which might no longer be made?) but where do I confirm that?

Where can I buy the part for this? is the length of time for these panels really only 2 years?

The X310220 was a diamond shaped topside controller that has been discontinued, the new part that will work with all the same spa units is X310334 along with the overlay X509124 for twilight models. If you ever need part assistance you can simply call 1-800-860-7727 or email support@masterspas.com. Even outside of warranty we will do our best to get you to the resources you may need.

In our H2X Trainer, should water in the spa end be circulating continuously during the 4hr filtration cycle? Or does it cycle on and off during the 4hr period?

Your spa should filter in low mode during your filter cycle in standard mode. If your jets or any button is pressed during filtration your cycle will pause and resume after the spa as been dormant for 40 mins. If you are seeing something different and have a Gecko system (placed in H2X models in 2023) you may want to review if you have warm weather mode enabled ( his can override the filter cycles if the spa senses it's getting too hot). If you would like further walkthroughs on your spa's settings you can call 1-800-860-7727 or email to support@masterspas.com.

I have a 2019 Twilight 7

I have a 2019 Twilight 7.2 and my touch control is dark. There are no signs of moisture and checking my 3 fuses shows that they are ok.

My pool pump went out 2 weeks ago and the pool equipment and spa share the same sub panel.

Are there tech instructions on how to install a new control panel? Is the x310334 a direct replacement for the x310220?

Sorry to hear your having issues around your home- before you begin at your spa, due to your other descriptions you may wish to check your electrical GFCI hookup - Master Spas do require a 50A hookup from a breaker that is dedicated. The term “dedicated” means the electrical circuit for the spa is not being used for any other electrical items (patio lights, appliances, garage circuits, etc.). If the spa is connected to a non-dedicated circuit, overloading will result in “nuisance tripping” which requires resetting of the breaker switch at the house electrical panel. Otherwise you are correct X310334 is now used in place of the old X310220 panel on current and past spas that used them. The programing is the same the shape is a little different. To change you can follow these steps... 1.Flip the spa off at the breaker for safety 2.Remove the skirting service panel under your topside. 3.Follow the topside wire down to the suitcase looking device called the “pack” where your green pc board is housed, remove this lid with a screwdriver 5.Unplug the topside wire you are following ( you will see a diagram on the lid showing you where items are plugged) and plug in the new topside. If never before changed you may see a sticker on your wire even labeled "topside". 6.Often the hardest part is removing the old topside, you can use a flathead screwdriver or putty knife to simply pop it off. If there is sticky residue you can use rubbing alcohol to aid you getting it off. 7.The topside would come with 3M sticky side that you will peel off and adhere to the spa as well as the sticker decal and a clear plastic screen protector that you can put on the face. 8.Flip the spa back on and you should be in business! For any other step by step instructions or advice we have a free customer service tech phone line at 1-800-860-7727 available M-Th 7a-5p & Fri 8a-12p Eastern Time! Or you can email support@masterspas.com.

Actuellement, vous utiliseriez X310334 et superposez X509123 ou X509124. La forme du diamant a été mise à jour pour une forme trapézoïdale. Currently you would use X310334 -and overlay X509123 or X509124. The diamond shape has been updated to a trapezoid shape.

Good afternoon - The topside controller is blank on my Twilight TS240

Good afternoon - The topside controller is blank on my Twilight TS240. I've powered down the spa twice in order to reset to no avail.

The filtration cycle was still running this morning and maintained its heat overnight. Before it went blank, I noticed there was some condensation on the inside of the screen, and had been that way for a while. Is there a way to test the controller to make sure it is the problem? I believe the original controller is PN x310220 or x310223 both of which seemed to be discontinued.

Looks like they are now calling for x310334? Thanks, Vern

Response

Hi Vern- the topside itself if the screen is black and you do see condensation there it may be the screen has taken some water damage and does need to be replaced. We did discontinue both of the designs of the part numbers you mention and the topside X310334 and overlay X509123 are the are the needed parts to replace- the computer is the same the design is different. Keep in mind if you are under warranty for your spa- or part warranty ( Balboa- the maker of your topside controller ensures a year as long as you have a receipt for the controller purchased) you should be able to claim a replacement with the servicer or place you did business with if that aids you at all. You can always call 1-800-860-7727 for any help you may need in finding this information or tech support!

2019 Twilight 8.2 ozonator question

I did some maintenance on my tub this year and change the UV light and quartz tube on the ozinator. I also tested the check valve and the injector to see if they were plugged or gunked up.

Neither seemed to be the case. My question is whether I should be seeing bubbles coming out of the small hole leading from the side of the injector into the tub? I actually don't ever remember seeing bubbles, but now I'm wondering if that is correct.

There is a strong flow coming from that smaller hole and a very strong flow coming from the main circulation pump outlet into the tub 24/7. Should there be bubbles anywhere?

How do I get rid of the sandy feeling on the inside of the hot tub?

With Company Response

I emptied and cleaned my hot tub, filled it up and put chemicals in it. When i got in it later, the inside area feels like sand particals around the whole inside.

I'm thinking I put too much of some granual chemical in? It has always been really clean and nice when I've emptied and cleaned it before.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I use the test strips to check the levels of chemicals.

Cross trainer 2008 Jet # 1 won't shut off

With Company Response

Jet #1 will not shut off.Press the button once it goes high speed, press again goes back to low speed.Temperature is good, filter cycle is set at 6 hours, Was set for standard operation I changed it to sleep(slp) mode but no change, pump continues to run.

Response

The pump 1 would run low speed for either heating or filtering for longer periods. With filter cycles duration set at 6 hours and that the system would perform 2 cycles per day, this would result in long runtime of 12 hours a day. The heating modes such as Standard, Economy or Sleep do not change its filtering runtime. This only affects how it maintains/operates heating. The default filter setting would be 2 hours, totaling 4 hours per day. Unless the amount of use was resulting in water clarity conditions while water chemistry properly maintained, many cases the default 2 hour duration setting (4 hours per day) is adequate.

What is this part on my twilight series hot tub?

With Company Response

There is a piece of PVC, maybe 1/2 inch diameter, that is open ended with what appears to be a rubber check valve. It is inside the cabinet.

It’s behind the right panel of the tub if you are looking at the pumps. There is also a soft tubing nearby, probably the same diameter. When the pumps come on water sprays out of the PVC “check valve”. Nothing comes out while normally circulating, just when jets are started.

This part does not show up in any manual or parts list.

I’m pretty sure I need one. Can I plug it short term until I find a new one?

We have informed our dealer (and our local retail) about these changes that we are making in our production process. These changes are designed to help streamline the production process and allow us to meet demand in a more timely manner. What is standard delivery?

With Company Response

Does that mean they deliver and install. All we have to do is have the electrician set up the right power source.

Hello! The dealer will typically only put the spa in place. It’s the responsibility of the customer to make sure it’s hooked up by a certified electrician per the owner’s manual.

Filter placement

With Company Response

I have a Twilight 7.2 Series Spa I took the filters out the first time not sure what is the proper spot for each filter to back in? Does it matter if one is in the right side or the left side??

For your Twilight 7.2, you would want to make sure that your Eco Pur filter is located on the side closest to your topside control panel. This will give you the best release of minerals throughout your spa to eliminate micro-organisms and remove heavy metals. Thanks for asking! Hopefully this helps.

model and info needed

With Company Response

Hi we have an older Freedom Spa Master Spa it's blue in color and it's seats 6 and it has a corner filter pma 40 I have no idea what model it is because of the fact the tag on it on the outside is unreadable due to its age, the spa is fantastic! Love the Spa we love it but I just cannot find out any other info on it and the filter tag is gone so if you could help me that would be great.

I can tell you it's darker blue has founder on one side where feet jets meet milter opening. It seats six. Has brown outer shell.

The control button panel says freedom and has one light and two buttons and temp button four in total. It has two jet control turn knob's on the sides one by the neck massage seat and one on the lumbar side outer ledge.

Thanks for reaching out! From this description, it’s hard to tell which model you have. If you could send us some photos of the spa as well as the model info of the internal main electrical control system, we can try to see if we can match it up. If you need help with parts and such, we ask that you send photos of the components so we can try to help provide part numbers for replacements (if electronics, we would need to see the model info from manufacture labels on the components). We can be reached at customercare@masterspas.com. Thanks!

Leak?

With Company Response

I did not check on my hot tub for about two weeks due to illness. When a checked a few minutes ago there was very little water in the spa.

It is raining so I can’t tell where it is leaking. It is a Twilight Series and it’s about six months old and I have had no problems with it up to this point. I have turned the power off but we may have freezing temps tonight.

What should I do? Sent from my iPhone

Unless the water is leaking out very quickly (say as fast as trying to fill it – or where it is dropping below the filters within a day), it is best that you try to keep it running and top off the water as needed in order to prevent any freeze damage from occurring before a service tech is able to look at the spa. In order for service to be able to find the leak, it should be running with water if at all possible. If your spa has been installed and placed in conditions where freezing could occur, we ask that you take appropriate measures to protect your spa from potential freeze damage by providing some means of warmth within the spa cabinet or immediately winterizing your spa. One of our customer care representatives will be following up with you on this. Thanks for asking!
